Corporate Hands: JNGI, Yacht Club help Port Royal Basic School
Students at the Port Royal Basic School are now learning in a safer, enclosed environment following the construction of a perimeter fence around the property, with funds donated by the Royal Jamaica Yacht Club (RJYC) and JN General Insurance (JNGI) Company.
Principal Lavern Wade-Thompson expressed happiness that a new fence would place the children in a safer environment and welcomed the donation of stationery supplies from the Kingston Bookshop.
Kamaal Azan, commodore of the Royal Jamaica Yacht Club, said the fence was the first of many steps that the RJYC would be taking as part of its adoption of the Port Royal Basic School.
General manager of JNGI, Chris Hind, said they were happy to participate in the initiative, which ensures that students can learn and play in a secure environment.
