Former Public Defender Earl Witter this morning recounted how he was harassed by one of several police personnel he saw wearing ski masks in Tivoli Gardens, a day after the start of the May 2010 operations.

Witter, who is now testifying before the west Kingston commission of enquiry, revealed that the police Constable bumped into him several times.

The former Public Defender said he believed it was deliberate.

He said he reported the incident to a police Sergeant, but nothing was done about it.

Several high-ranking police officers have testified before the commission that none of the men and women under their command wore masks during the operation, which was aimed at capturing drug kingpin Christopher 'Dudus' Coke.

However, Witter insisted that he saw several policemen wearing balaclava masks, which only revealed their eyes, nose and mouths.
