Yoplait Fights Breast Cancer

It was all smiles from Yulit Gordon (left), executive director of the Jamaica Cancer Society, as she accepted a cheque valued at J$936,600 from Kadia Wright, Yoplait brand manager, at the cancer society’s Lady Musgrave Road office on December 8.

On December 8, Yoplait Jamaica strengthened its resolve to help the fight against breast cancer in Jamaica with the donation of $936,600 to the Jamaica Cancer Society (JCS). The donation was held at the cancer society's office at 16 Lady Musgrave Road.

Yoplait Jamaica's brand manager, Kadia Wright, said the donated funds are the proceeds from Yoplait's 'Friends in the Fight' campaign that occurred from October 1 to November 15. Each year, Yoplait donates $10 from the sale of each cup of yogurt purchased between that time to the society.

Executive director of the JCS, Yulit Gordon, said the funds will aid in the maintenance of the mobile mammography unit.
