Paymaster now accepting cheques for JPS bills
Paymaster (Jamaica) Limited, the pioneer in the bill-payment industry in the Caribbean, and the first to have commenced third-party collections for the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) 18 years ago, has further cemented its relationship with JPS by resuming the acceptance of cheque payments on the company's behalf.
Paymaster stopped accepting cheques on behalf of JPS when the latter decided to accept such payments solely at its customer-service offices. This decision to reinstate cheque payments at Paymaster will now add to the convenience for cheque-paying customers. Paymaster customers, especially companies, will be able to conveniently make all their payments in one location.
According to Natalie St Louis, Paymaster's vice-president of marketing, sales, client and corporate service, "Paymaster is pleased to have the reinstatement of cheque payments, as this is of great benefit and convenience to our customers, many of whom prefer using this medium for payment.
Delight customers
It is always our mandate to delight our customers, and we are happy to partner with JPS to accept cheques in addition to cash and cards."
JPS director of corporate communications, Winsome Callum, also expressed satisfaction at the development. "Convenience and quality customer service remain top of the mind for us here at JPS. We continue to explore opportunities that increase the ease of doing business with our company, and that reflect our approach to providing a variety of solutions to our valued customers."
