Opposition MP's Opposition MPs list names  Opposition Members of Parliament have rushed to the defence of Member of Parliament for South West St Andrew, Everald Warmington.

MP for North East St Andrew, Delroy Chuck, said Warmington was provoked when he called Lisa Hanna Jezebel.

Government member Mikael Phillips moved a motion at today's sitting for Warmington's behaviour to be referred to the Ethics Committee which should consider applying sanctions.

"Nothing in that motion emphasises the abuses and provocation that came from that side," Chuck argued.

In a sotto voce comment, Opposition MP Daryl Vaz said Warmington was called names such as B-man and fa***t by members of the Government side.

A furious Chuck told Speaker Michael Peart "You should never have allowed this motion".

"This motion is out of place", said Chuck who fumed that Warmington was provoked.

"Call the man B-man", he said.

The term B-man is used in Jamaica to describe a homosexual.

While Hansard, the official records of parliament does not support the claim of abuse the two times that Hanna was called Jezebel, Warmington insists she made degrading comments about him.

It is possible that sotto voce or soft comments could have escaped the official note takers, because they are not made on microphone.
