#JAVotes2016: Slow going under electronic voter system

It was slow going at Jamaica College in the Mona polling division of the St. Andrew Eastern constituency, where the electronic voter system was being used.

St. Andrew Eastern is one of seven constituencies in which the electronic system is being used.

The process involved scanning the fingerprints to identify eligible voters as well as taking the fingerprints of their right index and left middle fingers.

Election day workers who were just getting familiar with the system moved slowly to get voters through the process.
