President of the JHTA Nicola Madden-Greig says her association is encouraged by some of the plans included in the JLP’s election manifesto.

The Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) has congratulated the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) on its victory in Thursday’s General Elections.

President of the JHTA Nicola Madden-Greig says her association is encouraged by some of the plans included in the JLP’s election manifesto.

Among them, she says were plans to review and improve traditional mainstream tourism, heritage and eco-tourism, health and wellness tourism, business tourism and skills development for the tourism industry.

Madden-Greig also thanked the Portia Simpson Miller-led administration for what she said was the progress made in developing a very important industry.
