WEATHER: Flash Flood Watch issued for low-lying and flood-prone areas in northern parishes
Meteorological Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood prone areas of northern parishes until 7 a.m. Sunday.
The forecast is for unstable weather conditions across all parishes especially northern and south-eastern ones during the next 24 hours.
Flash flooding is likely over some low-lying and flood-prone areas.
A flash flood watch means that flash flooding is possible and residents are advised to take precautionary measures, keep informed by listening to further releases from the Meteorological Service and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed or if a warning is issued.
It is expected that showers and thunderstorms, which could be heavy at times will continue to affect Jamaica into Sunday morning.
The Met Service says temperatures are also expected to go below normal across Jamaica.
