Grace makes million-dollar dreams come true
Chasing dreams just got easier for Sophia Campbell and Olive Henry, winners of the first draw in the Grace Chase Your Dreams promotion, winning J$1 million and $100,000 respectively.
Campbell's win surprised her, and it was not until a friend, who watched the live draw, called her with the news.
"It's a great feeling, knowing that I've tried with this company for many years. Is just Grace alone mi eat, from when I was a child, " she said. Campbell's win came at a fortuitous time, since the native Kingstonian has been down on her luck and is currently unemployed.
"With what I've been through, I think it will be a great help." For her, the big dream is to one day get a home of her own, and while she does not yet know if she will buy or build, this prize will help her to get there.
Project manager of the Grace Chase Your Dreams Promotion, Oral Richards, said the campaign has been going well so far.
"We've had our first winner for the million-dollar draw, after which we have another million to go at the end of March." The second January winner, Olive Henry, hails from Linstead, St Catherine, and was equally ecstatic to have won the $100,000.
"It feels really great! I always say competitions like these are a scam, but somehow, I felt like trying, and it really worked out for me, so it's great." For this mother of three, the winnings will contribute to educating her children.
"People can enter with five Grace labels or more to win this million dollars. But apart from that, we have some instant prizes. There are specially marked products with Pop, Peel, and Tear on the labels. If you tear open a packet of Grace Cock Soup or pop open a can of Grace Vienna Sausages and find a code on those products, you can text it to win instant prizes," he said.
"We're talking about Champs tickets, phone credit, $5,000 (giveaways), and of course, we have a $100,000 giveaway as well."
To be entered for the monthly grand draw, five labels are all you need. Just include your name, address, number and the slogan, 'Grace, Bringing Good Taste to Life'.
