Derrick Kellier, was this afternoon sworn in as the Member of Parliament for St James South as members of the Lower House met for their first regular sitting since the February 25 elections.

Kellier and the winning St Andrew South candidate Dr Omar Davies were not sworn when the Parliament opened on March 10.

At the time, Kellier's St James Southern seat was the subject of a magisterial recount.

He later emerged the winner by 53 votes over the Jamaica Labour Party's Homer Davis.

Davies, however, is still yet to be sworn in because of illness.

This means that while all 32 Government MPs have been sworn in, only 30 Opposition MPs have been sworn in.
