No need for US travel warning at this time - Guy

Following a travel advisory issued by the Bahamian government, urging its citizens to be careful when travelling to the United States Jamaica's opposition spokesman on foreign affairs, Dr Morais Guy, says it is not necessary for Jamaica to issue one at this time.
The statement from The Bahamas was issued amid confrontations between African Americans and police officers in the US.
In a statement, the Bahamian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it had taken note of the recent tensions in some American cities over shootings of young Black males by policemen.
The ministry urged citizens, particularly young males, not to be confrontational and cooperate with law enforcers.
Guy says he doesn't think the unrest in the US warrants an immediate advisory.
He adds that there is no imminent threat to Jamaicans because of the tensions in the US.
