Vishwanauth Tolan, first vice-president of the Jamaica Olympic Association, poses with Andrea Coy CEO of Grace Foods, during the media briefing last week Thursday at the company's headquarters in downtown Kingston.

GraceKennedy Foods, a division of the GraceKennedy Group, has been named by the Jamaica Olympic Association as the official food and nutrition sponsor of the 2016 Jamaican Olympic team. The announcement was made during a press conference at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel on July 11.

This is similar to the 2012 London Olympics when Grace Foods was also the official food and nutrition sponsor for the team while the athletes were at the training camp in Birmingham.

As official sponsors, GraceKennedy Foods will provide food products and other nutritional support for the Jamaican contingent while the athletes are at their pre-Olympics training camp in Rio. The Jamaican athletes will be housed at the Linx Hotel International Airport Galeao for the duration of their training.
