Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) has significantly improved their website to delight their customers.

The company has also launched their redesigned online services, utilising the latest in website technology to create a clean, flat finish, thus improving the experience for every visiting customer.

Marketing manager Tonya Russell told The Gleaner about some of the changes.

"Customers will not be disappointed with our changes. Users can now view trending featured products and there is a dedicated tab showcasing exclusive online specials, including the present five per cent online discount," she said.

She said that the search engine now facilitates more customisable filtering of products through a combination or selection of items searched across brands, prices, names and categories, resulting in a faster search time. Customers will also receive suggestions for similar products based on their viewing history plus view 'how to' videos and home/business owners appliance selection tips.

Free islandwide delivery or in-store pickup for online purchases is still available, along with payment portal for additional services, including service contracts, installations and special orders if customers are unable to come in.

"The best thing about our changes is the incorporation of Responsive Web Design. The site's layout and orientation automatically adapts to the platform of any device being used such, as a computer, a tablet or a cellular phone. Content on ATL's world-leading brands have also been revised to assist customers with making informed purchasing decisions that best meet their needs. We now have a customer 'wish lists' and customers can rate products," Russell said.

THE BENEFITS

"We have provided turnkey home and industrial solutions to Jamaica for more than 48 years, giving us the expectation to capture a greater market share by tapping into the millennial demography, which brings us directly into homes and bridges the gap between international and local purchasing," said Russell, who has been with ATL for six years.

"Jamaican diaspora citizens will have increased access to easy acquisition of goods and services for their families and businesses in Jamaica, using the currency of their choice. This eliminates the costs and the hassle to the consumer of shipment, Customs clearing and sourcing of goods in foreign markets.

"The redesigned website gives more virtual access to in-store products and services 24/7. Special orders can be made through the site for appliances to be shipped into Jamaica through ATL."

CONSUMER TRAFFIC

Russell told The Gleaner that the e-store has experienced remarkable growth in consumer traffic with more demand for products and services.

"We also examined the latest trends on the international market regarding online business innovation and incorporated some of those researched techniques, along with other enhancements, which we believed would best suit the Jamaican market," she said.

Plans leading up to the festive season include informing the diaspora about the re-launched site so they can take advantage of special offers to acquire items for their loved ones in Jamaica.

This includes a five per cent discount on all purchase until October 31, with use of the code 'STYLE48'. There are also exciting offers for Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas.
