With signals on the horizon of a likely spurt in construction projects, especially along the north coast, a major Build Expo and Conference, under the theme 'Build the Future Today', is slated for the Montego Bay Convention Centre in June of next year. It will attract mounting private-sector and government support and will offer substantial networking opportunities to participants.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness, in reference to renewed and consumer confidence in the island stated, "I am confident that the event will be at the highest global standards and that there will be specific focus on the many possibilities for development throughout the island."

WORLD-CLASS EXPO

Lead organiser for the event, Montego Bay businessman Dwight Crawford, said, "the Build Expo & Conference 2017 is coming to the Montego Bay Convention Centre on June 9-11 and will be held in order to establish a world-class Build Expo for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean region. We are dedicated to promoting the industry, homeownership and property development; with emphasis on clean, alternative energy solutions and environmentally responsible practices."

The expo will present local, regional and international exhibitors of products and services with the array of industries connected to the building and property development sectors. These include finance, hardware, furniture and appliances, architecture, landscape and interior design.
