Standing in front of the founding plaque, Patrick Dallas, president of the Kingston College (KC) Old Boys’ Association, speaks with KC students as part of events held on April 26 to commemorate the founding of the 92-year-old Corporate Area high school. Kingston College began at 1143/4 East Street (the current site of The Gleaner’s offices) and was declared open on April 16, 1925 with 49 students. The school is now located at 2A North Street, Kingston. In 1963, the Melbourne Campus, at 13 Upper Elleston Road, Kingston, was established to house grades seven to nine.
