Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips says the church must be placed at the centre of efforts to overcome the nation's challenges.
Speaking during a service at the St George's Anglican Church in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland this morning, he said the church was critical to national development.
Dr Phillips says the church plays an important role in establishing family structures and values.
His visit to the church was part of the People's National Party's ongoing Listening Tour.
