Serial burglar confesses to 26 break-ins, sentencing July 25

MANDEVILLE, Manchester:
A man, the Manchester Police have labelled as a serial break-in offender, is to be sentenced in the Manchester Parish Court on July 25 on 14 counts of the crime.

Marvin Lynch was caught as a prowler on premises in the parish on Wednesday, June 7.

Investigators say he was taken to the Mandeville Police station where he confessed to committing 26 break-ins between 2016 and 2017.

Lynch was brought to court on Friday on 15 charges of break-in where he pleaded guilty to 14 of them.

He was remanded until next Tuesday for sentencing.

According to Superintendent Wayne Cameron, the commanding officer for the Manchester Police Division, Lynch will be put before court this week on the additional 12 charges to which he confessed. 

He also said the police are in search of an accomplice to Lynch, by the name of Piankie Warsop.
