The police in St Thomas have charged the four Haitian men who landed on the island with illegal entry.

The police say arrangements are being made to have them appear in court today.

It is reported that the men were rescued on Monday by fishermen in Port Morant but remained at sea until yesterday.

They were brought to land by the fishermen and handed over to the police.

They were assessed by a medical team from the Ministry of Health and were subsequently taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital.

They were also processed by personnel from the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency and also provided with relief assistance.
