In this file photo residents of Tivoli Gardens sought to get the attention of the commissioners and lawyers of the enquiry, who toured the community.

Police Commissioner George Quallo says four of the five cops singled out in the report of the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry are no longer serving in operational roles.

The commission, in its report, recommended that Donovan Graham, Winchroy Budhoo, Everton Tabannah, Steve Waugh, and Mario Pratt be barred from any involvement in internal security operations over credible claims of dereliction of duty and extrajudicial killings.

Budhoo died earlier this year.

However, Graham, who is an assistant commissioner, was transferred earlier this month to head the Police Area One, which covers the parishes of Trelawny, St James, Hanover and Westmoreland.

Acknowledging the opposition to Graham’s appointment, Quallo said the role of the area commander is to coordinate the delivery of policing services at the regional level.
