Alleged robber killed by police at Tinson Pen in Kingston

An alleged gunman was killed in the vicinity of Tinson Pen, along Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston today after he and his cronies robbed a man and then engaged the police in a shootout.
The incident happened some time after 2:00 p.m.
Our news centre visited the scene and was told that persons who saw the robbery called the police.
A team from Hunts Bay responded and caught up with the men. The cops and gunmen traded bullets, during which one of the alleged robbers was killed.
It was not clear up to news time what was stolen from the victim and whether any of the items was recovered.
The Hunts Bay Police are investigating.
