Strict traffic measures in St Ann come Monday

Come Monday, motorists in St Ann’s Bay and Ocho Rios, St Ann, will face strict measures geared at achieving free flow of vehicular traffic in the two towns.

The St Ann Municipal Corporation says these measures include the reintroduction of clamping of vehicles parked in no-parking zones and the utilisation of permit parking areas along certain roadways.

Mayor of St Ann’s Bay, Councillor Michael Belnavis, says he will outline in detail, the full slate of strategies at a press conference on Friday at the corporation’s chamber.

Huge traffic pile-ups continue, especially in the resort town of Ocho Rios, with public passenger vehicles playing a major role in the problem.
