Man arrested for gun, ammunition in Trelawny

A man is now in police custody following the seizure of a firearm and several rounds of ammunition in Falmouth, Trelawny on Tuesday.
The Falmouth Police say about 7:30 yesterday morning, the man’s motor vehicle was searched and an illegal pistol along with one magazine containing nine rounds of ammunition were found.
The police say the search resulted from preliminary investigations that were conducted into a report that was made by him.
They say his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
