Education Minister saddened by 'heinous' murder of Spanish Town High student

Education Minister Ruel Reid has described the murder of Spanish Town High School student Courtney Sterling as a heinous act.

The body of the 17-year-old teen was found with stab wounds in a shallow grave in Gordon Pen, St Catherine on Sunday night, three days after he went missing.

On Tuesday, the body was positively identified as that of the missing teen.

Reid said the killing is an unpleasant reminder of the crime that threatens the lives of young people.
