The six Jamaicans and five Costa Ricans allegedly held in a multi-million dollar drug bust in Westmoreland last week are to appear in court this Friday.

They were formally charged last Friday with possession of, dealing in and taking steps to export ganja.

Four of the Costa Ricans have been charged with illegally entering the island.

All 11 are scheduled to appear before the Westmoreland Parish Court.

It's alleged that the men were held by the police while in the process of compressing and packaging approximately 1,000 pounds of ganja valued at $4 million.
