Three-year-old girl shot dead in St Mary

A three-year-old girl was shot and killed by an unknown assailant in Cane Lane, Annotto Bay in St Mary last night.
She has been identified as Kelecia Matthews, otherwise called Pooka.
The police say she and her stepfather were walking home about 9:40 when a man armed with a handgun fired a shot in their direction.
After the shooting, Kelecia was found with a gunshot wound to the chest.
She was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
