$195 million upgrade work planned for Yallahs to Lowe Mountain road

The National Works Agency (NWA) is to spend $195 million to rehabilitation and upgrade the Yallahs to Lowe Mountain road in St Thomas, which has been in disrepair for years.

This was announced at a town-hall meeting yesterday.

NWA Communication Manager, Stephen Shaw, says work on the project began last Thursday and is expected to be completed in six months.

Shaw says the scope of work includes improving and reconstructing drains and debushing the area.

Residents expressed gratitude for the road project.
