Guardian Life salutes top performers

Fay Hutchinson, executive adviser, and Dacia Stephens of the Montego Bay Service Centre, were declared Guardian Life's top performers for 2017 at the company's annual awards ceremony, held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, New Kingston, recently under the theme, 'Success. Passion. Persistence. Perseverance.'

Hutchinson, who also qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table Court of the Table, copped the company's top insurance adviser position after beating a field of 257 fellow advisers, while Stephens staved off some 315 fellow administrative team members to take the stellar prize of Employee of the Year.

Guardian's Premier 5 branch walked away with the coveted Branch of the Year Award, and Annsavoy Rose of Premier Branch 3 was named Rookie of the Year. Nadine Pottinger of Premier Branch 2 received the trophy for Top Individual Persistency.

Winsome Singh's unit of the Mandeville branch walked away with the Champion Unit Award in the category of Branch Manager's Unit, while Franklin Johnson took the top spot in the category of Assistant Branch Manager's Unit. Pauline Givans-Whitter's branch, Trafalgar, walked away with the trophy for Outstanding Sales Achievement in annualised premium income.

Among the night's celebrants were 37 insurance advisers who will be admitted to the MDRT, an international, exclusive club of insurance advisers who have satisfied stringent criteria to become members.

Eight team members were saluted as divisional employees of the year while another 10 were named star performers with another 10 individuals and teams receiving the prestigious President's Award.

Some 25 person were also admitted into Guardian Life's elite Production Club, which admits only the company's top-performing sales advisers and comprises the Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Clubs.

The firm also recognised sales advisers for each of its 10 branches; 10 advisers who performed outstandingly in sales achievements for first-year commission and annualised premium incomes, and advisers who performed excellently in support of the Employee Benefits Division.
