Police searching for students who mobbed and killed man in Portland

The police in Portland are hunting a group of students who viciously beat a man to death in the Port Antonio bus park yesterday.
The dead man, identified as 20-year-old Kerone Dixon, was set upon, beaten and stabbed in the chest by at least a dozen male students from a prominent high school in the parish.
Police reports suggest that the deceased was involved in a dispute with one of the students whom it is alleged owes him money.
The barbaric incident unfolded about 5:30 in the afternoon.
An eyewitness claimed the man's face was bashed in by the students, who beat him mercilessly, even while he laid motionless on the ground.
The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Portland police are appealing to persons with information about the killing to come forward to assist with the investigation.
This is the second killing in Portland since the start of the year.
