JMA, JEA announce merger

The Jamaica Exporters' Association (JEA) and the Jamaica Manufacturers' Association (JMA) have merged into one entity. 

The announcement was made a short while ago at the JMA Expo at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston. 

JEA president Michelle Chong and JMA president Metry Seaga made the announcement.

The new entity is the Jamaica Manufacturers' and Exporters' Association.

The merger took effect on April 17.

"United, we are able to achieve a wider national and international influence and our members are assured an even more effective wholistic representation, greater benefit and better overall member value," Seaga said.
