JUTC introduces shuttle service for persons affected by August Town main road breakaway

The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) has started a shuttle service for commuters affected by the breakaway along a section of the August Town main road in St Andrew, which has made the Hope Valley area impassable.

The JUTC says the shuttle will run from August Town to Hope Valley via Mona Road - Garden Boulevard and Papine.

The National Works Agency last week advised that it has closed a section of the John Golding Road to carry out repairs arising from the collapse of a pipe culvert which created the breakaway.

This has affected the JUTC's number 77 and 78 buses which travel to August Town via Papine.

The bus company has since diverted the buses onto an alternative route.
