Fire destroys homes on Bond Street, Denham Town

Residents look on as firefighters carry out cool down operations after a fire at Bond Street, Denham Town in west Kingston this morning.

Several persons on Bond Street in Denham Town, west Kingston are now homeless after fire destroyed several homes this morning.

The Gleaner understands that about 17 persons, 10 adults and seven children, were affected.

The fire reportedly started about 8:00 a.m. and quickly engulfed homes located at 68 and 70 Bond Street. Its origin has not yet been determined.

Fire units from the York Park, Half-Way Tree and Stony Hill fire stations responded to the blaze.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
