Three persons killed in separate crashes
Three people were killed in separate motor vehicle crashes yesterday.
Dead are: Hubert Bailey; 47-year-old Colene Carter, of Golden Grove, St Mary; and Marcus Barnes, of a Kingston 11 address.
The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force reported that Carter and her granddaughter were walking in the community when it is alleged that the driver of a Toyota Corolla motorcar lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the two.
They were taken to hospital where Carter was pronounced dead and her granddaughter admitted in critical condition.
The CCU said Barnes was driving a motorcycle along Norman Manley Boulevard in Hanover when it and a BMW motorcar collided.
Barnes was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
And the CCU reported that Bailey was a passenger in a Toyota Hiace when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree along the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon.
The police were summoned and both men were taken to hospital where Bailey was pronounced dead and the other man admitted.
Investigations into the three crashes continue.
