The National Works Agency (NWA) is warning motorists to expect delays and traffic restrictions along sections of Hagley Park Road in St Andrew as works intensify on the Hagley Park Road project.

The NWA says, where possible, motorists should use alternate routes.

Communication Manager at NWA Stephen Shaw explains that extensive pipe-laying works, including sewer and water pipe installation and drainage improvement, are now being carried out at various points along the corridor.

He says the agency has had to either close or reduce to single lane traffic sections of the road to facilitate the ongoing works.

The NWA says current activities on the project are concentrated along the section of Hagley Park Road between the ATL Automotive dealership at Grayden Avenue and the agency’s regional office in the vicinity of Ambrook Lane.

As such, only one lane of traffic is being accommodated travelling from Adlington Avenue towards the Eastwood Park Road intersection.

The NWA is reminding motorists that as work progresses on the Hagley Park Road improvement project they should plan for additional traffic changes and restrictions from time to time.
