Verona Carter, vice-president, public affairs, New Fortress Energy, raps with students from high schools in the Jamalco refinery communities during a recent handover of bursaries valued at J$50,000 each. More than 30 high school and pre-university students were presented with the much-needed bursaries as part of the company’s Education Assistance Programme. The bursaries will be used to cover the cost of CAPE/CXC fees for students as well as cover tuition fees for those at the high-school level.
