#JLPConference| Gov't has made strides, McKenzie tells Labourites

Deputy leader of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), Desmond McKenzie, has urged supporters not to be afraid to tout the achievements of the Andrew Holness-led administration. 

McKenzie, who was the first to address Labourites at the party’s annual conference now under way at the National Arena, said: "The party has made good strides and they should not be ashamed to tell the Jamaican public at large about the party’s achievements."

At the same time, McKenzie lashed out at the Opposition People’s National Party (PNP), which has been critical of the administration. 

“We not going to allow bad mind, wutliss, careless people to derail the progress of the Jamaica Labour Party,” McKenzie said. 

He said the Jamaican public should have no fear with the JLP being in charge of the affairs of the country

“In the hands of the Jamaica Labour Party; in the hands of Andrew Holness, the country is safe,” McKenzie, also the local government minister, assured.
