Steve Lyston | Be a true millionaire

There is nothing wrong with wanting to become a millionaire. But there is a price to pay. It requires proper planning, proper investing, and hard work, especially for those who do not inherit wealth.

Too many become poor in pursuit of millionaire status, having got caught up in the various schemes and scams, only to become worse off than they were before.

We are living in a time when money has become the god of the world and has consumed the minds and hearts of many. As a result, there are many 'investments' in the world that have caught the attention of the people, but they are, in fact, scams.

There was a time when people would engage in a 'partner', pooling their money together and each cycle, a different person would get their draw. People would use this money to help buy their house, pay for their child's school fee, or deal with serious or important personal matters. Nowadays, partner doesn't work anymore, because as soon as some people collect the money they are gone! I know people who joined a partners in years gone by, and to this day, they are still waiting to get their draw.

Putting your money in the bank won't allow you to be a millionaire. Contrary to popular belief, the lottery is not the way to go, either. It causes people to become poorer and causes many families to break up. How many people win the lottery?

Today, many are excited to see certain laws being passed to legalise marijuana, so much so that shops are being set up to sell it. Who is buying the bulk of it? The poor!

Better Way To Invest

God gives us dreams, visions, and talents. We need to begin to bring forth that vision and that talent God has given us. Lack of money should not be an obstacle for you to start your business. If someone gave you $500, how would you invest it to turn it over, make a profit, and reinvest it? Think carefully.

Always have multiple streams of income. Have your eggs in more than one basket. There are many ways you can reduce your expenditure - clothes, entertainment, brand-name electronics - and the excess. Use a simpler or less expensive phone rather than high-end phones.

Always tithe. Tithing releases revelation and new insight. Lack of tithing or not giving to the poor has resulted in many businesses closing down, and more will go. Tithing will also bring protection, and prevent you from paying extortion.

Invest in farming. Food and water will become like gold to many.

Invest in livestock and invest in your children's education.

Learn A Trade

Academics has its place, but know that we are in a time where a trade is in high demand and many things are going back to basics.

Learn how to sew, and begin to make your own clothes again. Make clothes that would do well in climate change, and begin to export to other countries. It will be colder on the other side, so capitalise on that. Make pillows, sheet sets, curtains, toys, and so on with positive quotes, and sell them. These will prove profitable in the future.

Begin to build music studios, tracks, rhythms and beats and sell them. Every rich person in the Bible was either investing in livestock or farming some kind of agriculture. All the fruits, leaves were created by God for a specific purpose - not only to feed, but also to heal us. In society today, many are sick and are paying out a lot of money without being healed. You can be a millionaire when you begin to utilise the things that God has created in the Earth. This is how wealth transfer will take place.

Don't be one to sit down waiting for handouts or looking for politicians to solve your problems. God has given you common sense in addition to the gifts and talents you have within - use them. If others can do it, you can do it, too. Remember, no one listens to you when you are poor. Begin to work hard and climb the ladder.
