Nutrify pushes the limit with endurance challenge
LASCO Nutrify introduced the ultimate burnout round at the inaugural Push Magazine's Mask Off obstacle course recently at Shortwood Teachers' College.
A strong contingent gathered at 7 a.m. to conquer the clock and the competition by completing 20 obstacles and a 1.5k run. However, when true fatigue started to seep in, LASCO Nutrify offered competitors the opportunity to participate in the 10x10 challenge, in which attempted to complete 10 reps of 10 challenges in the least time.
According to Kari Steele, LASCO Nutrify brand manager, the partnership delivered on the importance of good nutrition and an active lifestyle.
"Nutrify decided to partner with Push Magazine because the whole event is about endurance and well-being. Nutrify is a meal replacement which is packed with proteins - 14 grams, to be exact. Protein is needed for muscle health, which is needed for endurance. It is also packed with a lot of vitamins and minerals, so the product is ideal for persons who live a very active lifestyle," Steele said.
Challenges
Challenge participants completed 10 burpees, 10 push-ups, 10 step-ups, 10 weighted squats, 10 tricep dips, 10 suicides, 10 weighted lunges, 10 tyre flips, 10 jump squats, and 10 dumb-bell curls.
Stephen Smith took first place and received two months' supply of Nutrify products and a blender. In second place was Demar Bennett, who received two months' supply of Nutrify products. Third-place finisher, Shereen Campbell received one month's supply of Nutrify products.
"The challenge was so good. The whole point of the 10x10 was that we wanted to challenge them and to remind them that Nutrify is there for them as their pre- and post-[workout] drink for muscle building and mass and to ensure that they keep their overall body maintenance in terms of their vitamin and mineral intake," Steele added.
"The aim of Nutrify is all about changing persons' lifestyles, having them embrace a healthier lifestyle."
O'Daine Donogan, owner of Push Magazine, was pleased with the support.
