Two arrested for gun, ammunition seizure in Manchester

Detectives assigned to the Mandeville Criminal Investigation Branch seized one Beretta 9mm pistol with a magazine containing eight 9mm rounds of ammunition during an operation at Melrose Gardens, Williamsfield in Manchester on Sunday.

The police say about 6:00 a.m., a house was searched and the firearm was found in a section of the dwelling.

Two persons were taken into custody in connection with the seizure.

Their identities are being withheld.
