NWC intensifies water regulation in Corporate Area

The National Water Commission (NWC) has announced that it will be increasing regulation of the water supply in communities served by the Mona and Hope water supply systems in St Andrew.  

It says starting today, restrictions will be implemented between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., resulting in no water or low water pressures to the areas served by the plants.  

The NWC says regular supply will be restored between  4:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. daily.

As a result, persons are being urged to store water for use during the nightly disruptions.

Areas to be affected include: Gordon Town and environs, Papine, Kintyre, Hope Flats, August Town, Hope Road, Mona Road, Ravinia, Hope Pastures and Liguanea.

Other areas include: Mona, Cross Roads, Mountain View, Old Hope Road, Devon Square, Waterloo Road, New Kingston, Liguanea, Mona Road, Ravina, Hagley Park Road, Harbour View, Shooters Hill, Bull Bay, Harbour View, Palisadoes, Port Royal, Seven Miles 

Meanwhile, the NWC is advising that due to urgent network activities there is no water currently in the following areas:- 

Waterloo Road, West King’s House Road, Devon Close, Devon Road, Kingsway, and sections of Hope Road. 

Normal supply is expected to return at 4:00 p.m.
