Let God break down the walls in your life

“Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.” Joshua 6:1-5

Preacher Ricardo McCalla said all that we long to have is possible through prayer and supplication to the One who is the author and finisher of our faith and knows our problems much more than we do.
McCalla, who was preaching at the Asia Seventh-day Adventist Church last week, said that the theme of the book of Joshua is Jehovah’s faithfulness in fulfilling His promises.
He said it is only through God that we can receive victory and cannot be present to that with doubt in our hearts.
“When we come to God in humility. victories are certain. Jericho is known as the oldest city in the world, and according to Joshua, it was surrounded by two massive stone walls. The outer wall was six feet thick and about 20 feet high. The inner wall was about 12 feet thick and was about 30 feet high. Between the walls was a garden walkway about 15 feet high. Israel’s problem was that it had a city to conquer, but there were huge walls ahead.
McCalla said the story is akin to modern-day trials where one stands on the brink of one’s breakthrough, yet it seems almost impossible.
“The first task, the first city, the first mission was an impregnable one. I don’t know why God did this, but it seems this is how God does things. It was not an easy walk. Going through the wilderness for 40 years, up the valley, down into the canon, witnessing loved ones dying along the way, crossing the river and the first breakthrough is an impregnable one.”
Pray with Faith
The preacher said our minds would never be able to fathom why God does some of the things He does, but all we need to do is pray with faith that he will give us the answers that we seek.
“Everything that the wall was made of, Joshua went to the originator. He went to the creator the builder of it … If you do that in your marriage, you won’t have problems like you’re having now. Your children will be with you in church, and your business will flourish.”
He said that it is necessary to overcome fear with courage while living in this troublesome time.
“Hope is settled and set in Jesus Christ. Sometimes we forget that while we were being formed in our mother’s womb, God knew us. God is reminding someone today that the plans and the purpose He has for you are of good and not of evil. The lack of courage is the lack of faith, and without faith, the Bible says, it is impossible to please God.”
“Let Jesus March around your circumstances. Let Him be the main person in your life, and I am telling you that victory is assured. When Jesus came to this Earth, many of his children were walled with complexities; blindness, crippled but God marched around those circumstances and pulled them down.”
McCalla said that the walls that are blocking us from our greater blessing can only be brought down by the power of God and that we should allow Him to take full control.
