Haitians charged with illegal entry

Two Haitian nationals, 40-year-old Ronald Georges and 34-year-old Jean Paul have been arrested and charged with Illegal entry into Jamaica.

According to the Corporate Communication Unit (CCU) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) the men who are from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, arrived in Jamaica on Wednesday, January 19.

Georges, a carpenter and Paul, an artiste and construction worker, tried to make a report to the Darling Street Police Station in Kingston. During an interview, it was revealed that they did not enter the island through any of the official ports and had no records of entry.

They were arrested and charged, with the court date being finalised.
