In 2014 when Cool Corporation launched the e-commerce store, coolmarket.com, the vision was to revolutionise e-commerce in Jamaica and make shopping easier for customers.

After a decade of being Jamaica’s leading e-commerce store, CoolMarket recently opened its first walk-in retail store at 2 Graham Street, Ocho Rios, which features household goods, a move that chairman Joseph Issa said was “a new chapter”.

The Cool Corp team joined delighted customers on the happy occasion, several of them noting the exquisite offerings.

Issa, and Member of Parliament for Western St Mary Robert Montague cut the ribbon to officially open the store, located downstairs the company’s headquarters at Guardian Life Building.

“Cutting the ribbon symbolises not just the opening of a store, but a commitment to delivering quality products and unmatched customer service and we were honoured to have the support of the Member of Parliament Robert Montague, in this celebration,” Issa told The Gleaner afterwards.

Issa praised his team and the loyal customers for enabling the success of coolmarket.com over the years.

“Coolmarket’s journey wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team and the loyalty of our customers. This retail venture is a new chapter, and we’re excited about the opportunities it brings to connect with our community on a deeper level,” he said.

Meanwhile, general manager of CoolMarket, Viviene Reynolds, hailed the expansion.

“The grand opening marks a significant milestone for Coolmarket,” she said.

“Our expansion into a physical retail space complements our online presence, providing customers with a seamless shopping experience for furniture, appliances, and electronics.”

Reynolds said the company’s dedication to customers goes beyond mere transactions.

“It’s about building lasting relationships. The retail store is a testament to our growth and a promise to continue exceeding expectations,” Reynolds declared.

While the Coolmarket store offers household items and appliances, Coolmarket.com still offers shoppers the online experience to purchase grocery, liquor, home and garden items, and appliances.
