Man dies after being hit by truck on highway in St Thomas

A 54-year-old man died as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision in Grants Pen district, St Thomas, on Thursday.

He is Donovan Omeally of Grants Pen district.

The Yallahs police say about 7:45 p.m., Omeally was walking along a section of the South Coast Highway when he was hit by a Mitsubishi L200 motor truck that was travelling towards Kingston.

He received multiple injuries and was transported to hospital where death was confirmed.
