He is to return to court on June 14.

A St Catherine man who was held with an illegal gun during a police operation in March Pen, Spanish Town was on Friday remanded in the parish court.

Damion McDonald, 28, is answering charges of possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.

The case was transferred to the Gun Court for mention on June 14.

Allegations are that about 5:30 a.m. on May 2, police and soldiers conducted an operation in the March Pen Road community during which McDonald was held and a nine-millimetre pistol affixed with a magazine containing six rounds of nine millimetre cartridges was seized from him.
