Demonstrating a commitment to community development, the First Rock Group celebrated Labour Day 2024 with a transformative project at the National Police College of Jamaica (NPCJ) in Twickenham Park, St Catherine. The team revitalised the college by painting buildings and donating essential tools, showcasing First Rock Group’s dedication to supporting local institutions and enhancing their infrastructure.

The vibrant and fresh coat of paint not only refreshed the physical appearance of the administration building at the NPCJ Caribbean Search Center, but also served as a symbol of renewal and hope for the trainees and staff of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) who dedicate their lives to public service.

In addition to their hands-on efforts, the First Rock Group made donation of tools and equipment to the college. These tools are expected to greatly aid in the maintenance and upkeep of the NPCJ facilities, ensuring that the institution remains in optimal condition to fulfil its critical role in training Jamaica’s future police officers.

“We received tremendous support from the police force, allowing us to complete the project much faster than expected. We donated all our equipment and supplies to the college so they can continue beautifying the compound,” stated Sable-Joy McLaren, senior manager, group marketing at First Rock Group.

The NPCJ was appreciative of First Rock Group’s support.

Senior Superintendent Fletcher expressed profound gratitude for the assistance provided, highlighting how such initiatives boost morale and reinforce the important work being done at the institution.

“We want to thank First Rock Group for their dedication to our college today; they have truly brightened our day. We are thrilled with the transformed space. Our collaboration was seamless, and we successfully achieved our goals together. Their work will have a lasting impact on our facilities and on the spirits of everyone here,” stated Fletcher.

In the meantime, members of the Kiwanis Club of Central Portmore joined Supreme Ventures Limited at the New Horizon Centre of Excellence in Spanish Town, St Catherine for Labour Day activities.

Representatives of Supreme Ventures also painted the welcome sign in the Look Out Community for Labour Day.
