Hanover mason charged with gun and ammunition possession
A 41-one-year-old mason was arrested and charged on Friday after a gun and 36 rounds of ammunition were reportedly seized at his home in Montpelier, Sandy Bay in Hanover.
Kingsley James is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
The Sandy Bay police say between 4 a.m., and 6 a.m., a targeted operation was conducted at James' home, during which 35 nine millimetre rounds of ammunition and one .45 round of ammunition were found in a dresser drawer in a bedroom.
They say a chrome .45 pistol was also found in a water drum outside the house.
A caution statement was recorded and James was subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised.
