4.2 magnitude earthquake rocks Jamaica

The Earthquake Unit has confirmed a magnitude 4.2 earthquake was felt in sections of Jamaica on Tuesday afternoon.

The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), gave the update in a post on social media platform X.

ODPEM said the earthquake occurred in the parish of Manchester, approximately 15 kilometres south west of Christiana.

It occurred at 5:46 p.m.
