Police probing death of schoolteacher in St Ann

The police in St Ann have launched an investigation into the death of an educator in Bamboo district in the parish on Monday.

He has been identified as Courtney Evans, 46 year old, of Shelly Road, Bamboo.

The police say about 6:40 p.m. Sunday, Evans left his dwelling to do business in the community.

He reportedly returned home with bloodied clothing, explaining that he fell from a tree. However, he reportedly refused to seek medical attention.

It is reported that Evans retired to bed and was discovered unresponsive about 5 a.m. on Monday.

The police were summoned and it was observed that he had two wounds to the side of his face.
