St Andrew man charged for pulling loaded gun on co-worker during altercation

A man who pulled a loaded semi-automatic gun on another during a physical altercation at their job along South Camp Road in Kingston has been charged by the police.

Twenty-eight-year-old Quewamo Williams, otherwise called 'Quamo', of Castle Heights, Barbican, St Andrew is charged with assault at common law, possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

A date is to be set for him to appear in court.

His court date is being finalised.  

The police say the incident happened on Friday, June 21.

Reports from the Elletson Road police are that about 12:35 p.m., Williams and another man were at work when a dispute developed, which became physical.

During the dispute, Williams reportedly pulled a Colt .45 semi-automatic pistol with a magazine loaded with two .45 cartridges from his waist, pointed it at the man and threatened him.

A struggle ensued and the man called out for help.

The police were summoned and Williams was arrested and charged.
