Thirty-five-year-old Dwight Hall, otherwise called Jim Brown, was freed of robbery with aggravation in the St Catherine Parish Court due to the continued absence of a witness.

When the matter came up for mention on Wednesday, the clerk of courts revealed that the Crown would not proceed due to the unavailability of the witness.

The accused was then told by presiding judge Kahon Lamey that no evidence was being offered, therefore, he was free to go.

It was alleged that on May 24 the complainant was robbed of $495,000 by Hall.

The matter was reported to the Spanish Town police and an investigation launched.

Hall was arrested and subsequently charged with robbery with aggravation and made several court appearances.

He was represented by attorney-at-law Courtney Rowe.
